Research & Innovation Directorate
The Directorate facilitates internal and external research funding and supports researchers and multi-disciplinary research teams to achieve the University’s research goals focused on the following areas;
1. Infectious and non-communicable diseases
2. Food production and processing, including improved approaches to breeding
3. Trans-disciplinary research into climate change adaptation
4. Development policy, poverty monitoring and evaluation
5. Politics, socio-cultural change, mobility and development
6. Creative arts, education and communication, and Information Literacy
7. Fourth industrial revolution tools (artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning, digital transformation, etc)
